Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

The short version: Relicquary and TouchLink are software you buy once and run on your own device. The apps are sold through the Apple App Store — Apple handles payment, billing, and refunds. There is no subscription. Your data stays local; the software is provided as-is, and RQ MCP LLC owns the software and its brand.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Relicquary and TouchLink applications and the website at relicquary.com (together, the “Service”), all provided by RQ MCP LLC (“RQ MCP,” “we,” “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Buying through the App Store

Our applications are distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple, not RQ MCP, processes your payment and handles billing, receipts, and refunds under Apple's own terms. Each app is a one-time purchase — there is no subscription and no recurring charge. Where an app is offered as a universal purchase, a single purchase covers the platforms named on its App Store listing. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

2. Your license

When you buy an app, RQ MCP grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use it on the Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by Apple's Usage Rules and these Terms. You may not copy, resell, rent, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the software except where that restriction is prohibited by law. The license is yours to use, not to own — we retain everything described in Section 5.

3. Local-first, and what that means for you

Relicquary stores your memories, notes, graph, and related content as ordinary files on your own device. You are responsible for that data — including backing it up and keeping your devices and any connected services (for example your own iCloud account or any model provider you connect) secure. Because your data lives on your hardware, its safety depends on your own setup. See our Privacy Policy for how information is handled.

4. Provided as-is; no warranty of fitness

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any specific use you have in mind. You use it at your own discretion and risk.

5. Ownership and intellectual property

RQ MCP LLC owns the Service and all intellectual property in it — the software, source code, designs, and the Relicquary, TouchLink, AIM, and RQ MCP names, logos, and marks. These Terms grant you a license to use the apps; they transfer no ownership. Your own content — the memories and files you create — remains yours. Nothing here gives us any claim to it.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RQ MCP LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so some may not apply to you.

7. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may update, change, or discontinue parts of the Service, and we may revise these Terms from time to time. When we revise them, we will update the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State in which RQ MCP LLC is organized, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

9. Security & responsible disclosure

Found a security issue? We want to hear about it. Email hello@relicquary.com with the details — what you found, how to reproduce it, and how we can reach you. Please give us a reasonable window to investigate and ship a fix before disclosing publicly, and avoid accessing or modifying data that isn't yours while you test. We read every report and will acknowledge yours.
